We Provide And

Keep Your Workplace Incident-Free

Making workplace safety a priority is essential for protecting your employees.

With proper planning and training, the company can prevent employee injuries, dangerous workplace activities, and workplace incidents and prepare its team with the knowledge and tools to ensure a safe workplace.

Implementing changes to improve your safety program reduces risk, reduces worker turnover, increases productivity and quality, and decreases Workers’ Compensation costs. Interior Safety Network provides support through safety consulting and training.

Onsite Safety Training

For companies who need onsite support for their safety program, we offer Onsite Safety Training.

Practical Health and Safety Site Inspections are among the most essential tools in a company’s health and safety program for incident prevention.

Inspections reveal the current state of your workplace, help identify hazards, and prevent unsafe working conditions from developing.

Our safety consultant will walk through your worksite to evaluate overall safety conditions and identify hazards and unsafe work conditions. After the walkthrough, we’ll create an inspection report of our findings that includes corrective actions and recommendations for improvement.

Workplace Incident Investigations

With over 20 years of investigation services, Interior Safety Network will provide clients with the best investigation results.  The Interior Safety Investigator will assist employers in investigating workplace incidents or near-misses, identifying the root causes, conducting a complete analysis, and submitting an investigation report to WorkSafeBC. These investigations will help employers answer the two main questions: Why did an incident happen, and what can be done to prevent similar situations?

At Interior Safety Network, we provide extensive support to clients in developing corrective measures after the incident, offering them the required training, creating safety policies and procedures, and ensuring they feel supported and guided.

We use the NEBOSH train in workplace incident investigation and Root-Cause Analysis.

Company Safety Program Development & Review

At Interior Safety Network, we help companies create an effective safety program (safety manual) that covers their business’s unique needs, including required policies and procedures. We also ensure that their organization complies with WorkSafeBC and CSA. Regarding client requirements, we create safety programs compliant with the COR program.

If the client’s current safety program requires review and updates, our consultant will conduct the GAP analysis to evaluate the program with the legislative requirements.   This proactive approach assists in reducing injuries by examining your company’s health and safety objectives, identifying the program’s strengths and weaknesses, determining whether your policies and procedures comply, and defining areas needing improvement.

COR External Audits

Certificate of Recognition (COR) is an incentive program offered by WorkSafe BC that recognizes that a certified COR auditor has evaluated the company’s health and safety management program and that it meets provincial OHS standards. It is industry-recognized that COR-certified companies have more opportunities when bidding for work.
Two COR Audits exist – Large COR and small COR (SECOR). The difference between a COR and a SECOR is the number of employees working during the peak time. Small COR (SCOR) audit is designed for companies with fewer than 19 employees. A large COR audit is for companies with more than 20 employees.
Interior Safety Network Limited offers COR and SECOR audits to companies in the construction sector. Companies with WorkSafeBC Classification Units (CU) listed below are automatically eligible to participate in BCCSA’s COR program.
These include:

Compliance with WorkSafeBC Inspection Reports

A WorkSafeBC occupational safety or hygiene officer may visit your worksite to conduct a regular inspection. It is important to note that upon completion of this inspection, the Officer will provide you with a written report. This document is an official record of the Officer’s observation during their visit.

The inspection report encompasses comprehensive information about the worksite’s findings and recommendations for improving workplace conditions. The Officer who identifies occupational health and safety non-compliance can impose penalties.

Interior Safety Network Limited will assist you in addressing any concerns arising from the WorkSafeBC inspection report.

Our expertise allows us to provide you with valuable guidance regarding the necessary steps to comply with these specified orders. Acting as your dedicated safety consulting partner, we will develop a formal notice of compliance explicitly tailored to meet the requirements provided by officers.

Respirator Fit Test

If your employees use a respirator in the workplace, they must be fit tested before using it for the first time and re-tested once each year to ensure the respirator still fits correctly.

We offer Respirator Fit Testing, using a pass/fail test method to detect leakage into the respirator facepiece. We can test your employees onsite at your location or in our Kamloops facility.

Fall Protection Equipment Inspection

The end-user fall protection equipment inspection is a primarily visual inspection performed by the worker immediately before employing any fall protection equipment or systems.

At Interior Safety Network, we are certified to conduct formal fall protection equipment inspections. A formal inspection is a thorough, systematic inspection performed and documented by a competent person. It is done annually or bi-annually, depending on the specific equipment manual instruction, safety regulations, or company safety policy.
