The learning objectives of this Confined Space Entry / Standby Person course are to ensure that students demonstrate an understanding of the following:

Learning Objective 1

The confined space program requirements. Students will learn what a confined space is and the training and competency requirements.

Learning Objective 2

Students will learn how to recognize, evaluate, and control hazards. Complete a hazard assessment and the classification of Confined Space Levels.

Learning Objective 3

Students will learn the legislation requirements, hazardous substances and energy, as well as, testing the atmosphere.

Learning Objective 4

Students will learn ventilation, purging, neutralization, and inerting.

Learning Objective 5

Students will learn about entry permit systems, confined space / standby person responsibilities.

Learning Objective 6

Students will learn emergency response procedures and the personal protective equipment necessary for Confined Spaces.
